as mentioned yesterday, we went again to Hiroshima for another day of sightseeing. The first attraction we visited was the Hiroshima Castle followed by the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.
The castle was awesome and is really something worthy to see -it looked like new. And we learned why. The reason was that unfortunately it has been blasted away by the atomic bomb which hit Hiroshima during the world war II and completly destroyed it - so the castle has been reconstructed.
Afterwards we head for the Peace Memorial Museum afterwards. Like yesterday we all found it a bit weird to be there. It's just a strange feeling to read the stories of the victims and what happened on that day.
I personally have been moved by two pieces of their exhibits. The first one were the figures of the victims who survived the A-Bomb (Mother and a child with tattered clothes and a burned body) and the second one were the stairs where a man sat as the bomb exploded - only a shadow remaind on the stairs - really sad and i stop right here. Well I took some pictures at the museum so you might get an impression of what we felt.
After the museum we decided to go to the local Animate, to cheer up. Yes it workd, it's a really cool store with lots of Anime & Manga stuff :D
As the sun has already settled we decided to head back to the hotel and to have a dinner in one of the local restaurants. Unfortunately we couldn't find a suitable restaurant - so we bought us sth. from the convenience store near our hotel. Well watching anime and eating some food wasn't that bad either :)
This was our 8th day in Japan - with up and downs. We hope you enjoy reading it :)

wie gestern bereits erwähnt, gingen wir heute nochmals nach Hiroshima für ein bisschen sightseeing. Die erste Sehenswürdigkeit die wir uns ansahen war das Hiroshima Castle und danach folgte das Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.
Das Hiroshima Castle (= dt. Hiroshima Schloß) war einfach super! Es sah wunderbar aus und fast wie neu. Warum es wie neu aussah war schnell erklärt. Leider wurde das Hiroshima Castle im zweiten Weltkrieg zerstört - die Atombombe über Hiroshima hatte das Schloss leider komplett zerstört und es musste erneut aufgebaut werden - zum teil zumindest.
Danach machten wir uns auf dem Weg zum Hirsohima Peace Memorial Museum. Wie gestern schon war uns auch hier etwas mulmig zu mute. All die Geschichten der Überlebenden und die Ausstellungsstücke, es ist schwer das in Wort zu fassen, aber über ein paar Fotos könnt ihr euch ggf. selbst ein Bild davon machen. Es ist einfach nur bedrückend egal welche Umstände damals geherrscht haben mögen.
Mich persönlich haben dort zwei Ausstellungsstücke dort sehr berührt. Einmal waren zwei Puppen, eine Frau und ein Kind im Grundschulalter, die die Explosion der A-Bombe überlebt haben. Das zweite war ein Mann dessen Umrisse in den Steinboden eingebrannt wurden, auf denen er saß und darauf wartete, dass die Bank öffnete - aber genug dazu.
Nach diesem eher bedrückenden Ereignis, dachten wir uns wir können etwas Aufmunterung gebrauchen und gingen in den lokalen Animate, eine Anime & Manga Ladenkette!
Als wir aus dem Laden dann endlich mal wieder herauskamen ging auch schon die Sonne unter und wir machten uns auf dem Heimweg. Allerdings wollten wir vorher noch etwas essen, also suchten wir nach einem Restaurant - ohne Erfolg. Irgendwann verging uns einfach die Lust und wir nahmen uns etwas aus dem Mini-Markt mit und schauten im Hotel noch ein paar Anime - hat auch was für sich! :D
Das war auch schon unser achter Tag in Japan - mit höhen und tiefen. Wir hoffen ihr findet es interessant :)
